Get the New version (1.1b) of the Lookup Zip+4 utility for the WOPR 95 Plus Pack! The original Lookup Zip+4 utility that comes packaged with the WOPR 95 Plus Pack! Version 1.1a no longer works due to an unexpected change in the USPS zip code database. To use this new version, unzip the "zip4.zip" file, exit Word, and replace the older copy of "zip4.dot" in your Winword\Startup and \WOPR Plus! folders with this newer one.

The WOPR Plus Pack started out as a single utility titled WOPR StartUp and over the years has grown into what you see today. WOPR StartUp is a modified version of a macro originally written by Woody Leonhard. It produces a "splash" screen upon starting of Microsoft Word which allows you to choose from a host of options including running Word's built-in File Manager, running WOPR/PRIME File New, opening a file from Word's Most Recently Used File List, creating, running, or editing a macro, running a wizard with WOPR Run Wizard, creating an envelope using WOPR Enveloper, or just starting with a blank document based upon the global template.

WOPR StartUp Splash Screen - A user customizable "Splash Screen" that pops up while Word loads add-ins from the \startup folder and then disappears once all the add-ins have been loaded. The WOPR StartUp Splash Screen is an amusing way to kill the lag time as Word is initializing. You may use the default splash screen or you can create your own custom splash screen (such as a company logo etc.) using the Splash Screen Customizer. You may also play any wave file (WAV) that you desire while the startup splash screen is first displayed.

WOPR Lookup ZIP+4 - Utility for looking up ZIP+4 codes from the United States Postal Service (USPS) Web Site. Have you ever sent off a letter only to have it returned due to no ZIP code or an incorrect ZIP code? Have you ever wondered what the ZIP code for a particular city was or just wanted to find the ZIP+4 code for your own or someone else's address? Well wonder no more, WOPR Lookup ZIP+4 comes to the rescue! WOPR Lookup ZIP+4 is a unique "ZIP Finding" utility that was designed to run exclusively from within Word. Simply enter an address (or partial address) into your document, fire up WOPR Lookup ZIP+4 and it will automatically grab the address, start your Dial-Up Internet Connection, retrieve the correct ZIP+4 code, and insert it into your document. WOPR Lookup ZIP+4 will even automatically disconnect from your Internet Provider after a set amount of time or you can choose to remain connected. WOPR Lookup ZIP+4 has also been hooked into the WOPR Enveloper and the Underground Letterhead Wizard's "Find Zip" buttons for easy access.

WOPR Picture Tools - Rotate, Mirror, Crop, Scale, and DiskIt utilities. WOPR Picture Tools makes working with graphics in Word a sheer pleasure. You have the ability to rotate graphics to any angle desired, mirror and flip graphics horizontally or vertically (this feature is great for creating images for iron-ons which need to be printed onto the iron-on patch in an opposite orientation), crop or scale your graphics to any size, or create device independent bitmaps (BMPs) or windows metafiles (WMFs) out of any selected graphic. With WOPR Picture Tools you even have the ability to create a graphic out of any text you desire. Just select the text that you want to create a graphic out of, fire up WOPR Picture Tools, and voila you've just created a graphic out of your favorite text.

The Underground Letterhead Wizard - A letterhead wizard based upon a similar letterhead template in The Underground Guide to Word For Windows by Woody Leonhard (Addison-Wesley, 1994, ISBN 0-201-40650-0). The Underground Letterhead Wizard (_undergd.wiz) allows you to create a fancy letter using a custom letterhead which can be modified with any graphic, title, and/or address. You even have the option of saving up to TEN different letterheads. For more information on the basics of the Underground Letterhead Wizard see the chapter titled, "The Underground Template" in Woody's book.

WOPR Run Wizard - A quick and easy alternative for running all of your favorite Wizards. WOPR Run Wizard searches Word's \template folder and all of its subfolders (or you can chose a different folder to search) for Wizards and creates an ordered list of all currently available Wizards. WOPR Run Wizard includes a detailed description for all of the Wizards that come with Word 7.x so that you can quickly identify what each wizard does. You can also redefine each Wizard's existing description and create descriptions for those Wizards that do not have one. WOPR Run Wizard is even equipped to run the Avery Wizard™ which is a neat utility created by Avery for designing and printing all of your favorite laser and ink jet labels. The WOPRToolbar Enhancement Package, new to the WOPR Plus Pack, includes all kinds of goodies to enhance your existing WOPRToolbar. An enhanced WOPRToolbar replaces your existing WOPRToolbar with one that contains newly designed toolbar buttons for all of the WOPR 95 utilities. The Enhancement Pack also includes buttons for many of the WOPR utilities that did not originally have buttons available such as all of the Lil'WOPR 95 utilities.

Installing the WOPRToolbar Enhancement Pack adds a WOPRToolbar Toggler button to your standard Word toolbar. The button toggles the WOPR/WOPRPlus Toolbars between hidden and displayed states conserving valuable desktop work space that would normally be taken up by the toolbars.

There is also a WOPRToolbar Switcher button which is added to the bottom of your WOPR/WOPRPlus Toolbars. The button switches between the WOPRToolbar and the WOPRPlus Toolbar allowing you to have two toolbars which take up the space of only one. You can reposition either one of the enhanced WOPRToolbars anywhere on your desktop (docked or floating) and the other toolbar will follow it to the same position.

Finish Document - Finishes up the document by inserting your signature, initials, and a closing. Also saves the document and prints it out with an envelope.

Toggle DocXPlore - Toggles the WOPR DocXPlore window pane on and off while retaining your current view and zoom settings.

WOPR Calculator - Takes whatever values are currently selected, calculates a result, and places the result immediately after the selection.

WOPR InsertWordArt - Runs Microsoft WordArt™ in a dialog form.

WOPR ClipArtGallery - Inserts a Microsoft ClipArt Gallery™ picture into your document.

WOPR RealName - Places the current file's full path and filename on the title bar.

WOPR ReName - Allows rapid renaming of old MS-DOS 8.3 filenamed documents and templates into long filenames.

WOPR Toolbar Menu & Extra WOPR Plus Toolbars - A "Toolbars" menu is added to Word's Menu bar listing all currently available toolbars including the extra WOPR Plus Toolbars such as the WOPR Fields, WOPR Table, WOPR Tools, & WOPR View toolbars. The menu allows easy toggling of all your favorite toolbars. The list of currently available toolbars can be easily updated at any time by selecting the "Update Toolbar List" menu item.

WOPR TBEdit Cool Buttons File - A "coolbtns.tbs" file for use with WOPR TBEdit has been included in the WOPR Plus Pack! The file includes hundreds of additional small toolbar buttons which can be used to customize all of your favorite toolbars.
